This is a second shot of my first ventures into infrared. There is something sad about this headless boy, a sense of loneliness and being lost.
Infrared photography has fascinated me since I randomly picked up a book called 'Diary of a Ghosthunter', photography of Simon Marsden. At first glance the images are black and white, but upon closer inspection its more than that. I love the way different surfaces seem to merge, statues become alive against the backgrounds of plants and trees. |

It was taken with a factory standard nikon d50, i did a test using a tv remote and it picked up the ir light. I took the photo using a corkin IR lens filter. There was some post production in photoshop, but really just playing with exposure, contrast, etc.
